Find Used Infinity Cars in Utah
Infiniti is an automaker from Japan, they
are related to their parent company, Nissan.
They represent a premium line of luxury cars
and SUVs with impressive performance. The
brand was founded in the 1990 model year,
and its original and present day purpose is
to produce vehicles in the United States
that are not quite as mainstream as typical
Nissan cars. Infinity began with two luxury
sedans, the Q45 and the M30. The first entry
level model was the G20. With a lack in
marketing and misdirected commercials,
Infinity was not an instant hit. Slowly but
surely more and more cars were added under
this brand name.
The Q45, which has a V-8 and 278 horsepower,
found a place amongst its competition, which
may have helped out with its state of the
art technologies. It was the first car to
have four-wheel steer and an active
suspension system. Infinity stab at an SUV
was released in the late 1990s and was
called QX4 (it was based on the Pathfinder).
As opposed to traditional truck base SUVs,
the QX4 has a unibody
platform, putting it ahead of others. By the end of
the decade, Infinity, though they had growing sales,
had not caught up to its main competitors, Lexus and
Acura. The answer was to include vehicle upgrades
and refocused effort. The overall goal was to create
vehicles of exceptionally high quality and
performance. The entry level G35 became Infinity’s
shining star, offered in both coupe and sedan
versions, the sales were exceptional. A crossover
SUV, called the FX35 followed, and was well received
because of its sports car handling, wagon like
utilities, and traditional SUV performance all in
one package. Although Infinity has never topped its
competitors, the brand is respected among used car
buyers and critics too.
